Gateshead Cares: Keeping Gateshead Residents Who Wander Safe with Lumiio
Gateshead Council estimates that almost 1,150 residents are living with dementia, and with an aging population projected to rise by 17% in 2047, demand for extra support in social care is a key issue. That's why Gateshead Council has worked with safeguarding technology developer Lumiio to launch a pilot Smart Dementia Safeguarding Wristband initiative.

South Yorkshire Dementia Safeguarding Wristband: Supporting the Herbert Protocol with Lumiio
Conversations with police have suggested that each missing person search can cost as much as £9,000, not to mention the extreme emotional distress and physical strain for the missing person and their loved ones. That's why South Yorkshire Police are working with Lumiio again to distribute Dementia Safeguarding Wristbands as wandering protection.
