Croydon Fire Station's Open Day 2026
On Friday 31st July some of the team at Lumiio had the pleasure to attend London Fire Brigade, Croydon's big summer open day. Held from 11:30 until 16:30, the firefighters did a fantastic job organising this family friendly and fun event. With great music, stands, and interactive activities for little ones at all ages, this open day was a great opportunity and the team is so grateful to everyone who worked on the LFB Croydon event.
Keeping Safeguarding Accessible
At Lumiio, we believe in ensuring everyone has the ability to access smart safeguarding solutions. That's why at we handed out 50 free samples of our new Kids Collection Wristbands at the LFB Croydon event, complete with a set-up guide and details about us.
Lumiio's stand was even more popular than we had expected! This meant the team had underestimated how many wristbands to bring and so did not have enough to give samples out to everyone who came up. However, if you came up and spoke with us on Friday please reach out at hello@lumiio.io or give us a ring at 02045511450, and we'll see what we can do.

Talking to All of You
The Lumiio team had some great conversations with Croydon and other SE London parents/caregivers about their concerns for their children wandering, becoming lost, or even bolting in public. We know that many parents of children from ages 4 to 7 feel worried at big events, in new places, and in day-to-day life about their child's safety. These worries are especially true for parents and caregivers of neurodiverse children, as some studies suggest that up to 49% of autistic children have wandered.
