In September 2025, our sister company Seritag partnered with the Durham Constabulary to support their ‘Tap Your Phone to Get Me Home’ scheme. This dementia safeguarding initiative focused on safety through community, working alongside the existing Herbert Protocol, to breakdown information barriers inhibiting support for those with dementia prone to wandering and becoming lost.
In this partnership we provided Durham Police with Soft-Touch Dementia Wristbands and Dementia Hangtags branded with their name and logo, in the traditional dementia awareness yellow.
Supported through our NFC-enabled (Near Field Communication) safeguarding products, Durham residents were able to tap and hold to gain instant, secure access to essential information.
This scheme provided vulnerable individuals with a simple, wearable product that made identifying, supporting, and reuniting them with their loved ones that much easier, whilst still maintaining independence.
